Permanent Eyeliner

Using the Art of Tattooing to enhance and correct

Succulent

What to Expect

The thought of tattooing your eyeliner can be a daunting one; however, the procedure is actually quite simple and relatively painless. The numbing cream we use is incredibly effective and typically works its magic within ten minutes.

Your eyes will remain closed throughout the procedure and you will not have to worry about accidentally blinking because your eyelid will be held in place firmly. We will stretch and support your eyelid, holding it still and taut. After gently lifting your lash line with your eye still closed, a slow back and forth motion is used. We begin tattooing at the outer corner of the eye and gradually work towards the inner corner. The pigment is applied with a machine and a cartridge needle which are both selected specifically for your skin type and desired results.

Pre Procedure Care

  • Avoid alcohol and blood thinners like aspirin, Advil, or fish oils a minimum of 48 hours before the procedure for best results.

  • Avoid waxing, facials, and beauty treatments the week before your procedure to ensure your skin is not peeling or reacting to the treatments.

  • Discontinue the use of  Retinol/Retin A and products containing Tretinoin a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Do not have a sunburn on your skin at time of appointment.

  • No accutane and must be off of accutane for a minimum of one year before having a permanent makeup procedure done

  • Avoid coffee the morning of your appointment.

Post Procedure Care

After the procedure, an aftercare treatment is applied. You will be given aftercare instructions and an ointment to take home. It is recommended that you gently wash the area with a mild soap. Create a lather in your hands and gently massage the eyes, keeping them closed tightly. Rinse with water, pat dry with a paper towel, and apply aftercare ointment using a Q-tip. Do this morning and evening for 7-10 days. During this healing time you must avoid the following:

  • excessive moisture, such as steam or saunas

  • swimming or excessive sweating

  • any and all types of active skincare like Retin A, glycolic or alpha hydroxy acids, and exfoliants of any kind

  • pets near your face
